do think by ur advice to people to not visit egypt so the economy will get more worse so the government starts to change the system, actually what will happen is they start to give egyptian people less saleries and giving them more tex to pay so they can maintain, so at the end u hearted the people nkt the government or the system
if u really want changes make or talk with organizations in the us and let them.to try to change our government

I met my wife there in 2002 for 14 months while working on a government project to help locals modernize their fishing methods. It was an eye opening experience and a wonderful stay.

When my wife and I went back in 2016 to visit her family, the country was a broken mess. My wife is afraid to go back because the country could just cancel her passport and not let her leave. The place is awash in corruption.

Thank Hillary and Obama for that one. They laid the foundation for revolution. We Came, We Saw, He Died. Well, with the French leading the way.

Qaddafi was the only thing holding it all together. Same as Hussein. Awful people, but the alternative to their rule is far worse.

My wife and her family would absolutely love to have the stability they had before.

Ugh… I want to go so bad 😢 but now with the conflict in Israel, and currency issue, plus the arbitrary laws make it so I’ll have to wait. A shame cause tourist like me will help their economy.

Dude, are you dense? Egypt is teetering on its third civil war since the Arab Spring, and they have terrorists in and at their borders looking to take over. You’re not a “tourist,” you’re you’re some weirdo with a team lugging in a hundred pounds of wires, electronics, and walkie talkies, all of which are used for improvised IEDs, trying to wave off cops and hospitality workers with a government permit. No shit they don’t believe you. You think the state department or whoever is going to send out a memo to every beat cop and airport employee in Cairo to not worry about some fly-by-night pack of rich westerners carting obscure filming technology across their capitol? You’re not the Travel Channel or National Geographic; of course they’re going to lay into you. What do you think would happen to those cops if they let you go and those items they x-rayed ended up blowing up a crowd in the city center? I think they’re a little more worried about protecting their families and the city and not being complicit in another coup that’ll turn them into Sana’a without freaking running water than they are about the mean things you might say on your YouTube channel. No wonder everybody hates Americans.

In arab world (egypt, uae, syria, yemen, arab saudi, oman and many more), egyptian are the worse to foreigner.

If you cant speak arabic, 90% you will get scammed and harrased by authority. If you speak arab and stand your ground firm when they harras you, they will respect you. Its like barbaric kind of culture. But hey not all egyptian are like that. But most of them are bad.

  26. @nisvetaninalang Avatar

Well yeah, that is the point of chaos. Chaotic “system “ allows them to do anything which obviously brings more money in than through legal means. What the people and government of that country doesn’t want to see,is the fact that they can’t develop the proper way with chaotic and corrupt “system “. Which is a why are so many of their own people trying to make to EU. It’s actually not even sad. It’s what they want,so just let them be. At some point they will lose even more genuine tourists and opportunities. I actually wonder if they recognize what that means in the long run.

  32. @markgrimes7607 Avatar

I’ve been to Egypt at least 10 times, the intense nature of security is due to terrorism, their business depends upon tourism. I was in Egypt when the plane was brought down. The only people I have seen have a bad time are rude, or unhelpful people.

We don’t want you anyways. You know nothing about food anyways. You are not Gordon Ramsey.

  34. @gingerespinoza5015 Avatar

I went to Egypt in 2006, and as a single female traveling alone–I got taken aside and forced to drink tea with a random government official for two hours. I wondered why my friend didnt show up when he was suppose to, they already. had his information–I was confused as to what was actually happening and I felt scared. My friend didnt show up, but a tour guide…a random "tour guide" and an angry security guard who was forced to travel with me at all times with a huge gun under his jacket. I am grateful for my time there, but im never returning.

You get robbed by the Government, the airport staff, the police, the taxi driver, the camel driver, the hotel staff, the street vendors, the people at pyramids….Everyone stay away from Egypt they dont deserve your tourist money

  42. @teto8651 Avatar

Very funny to see all this comments repeated like a stereo from nice people I assume. Every country got its rules so you must obey this rules in operating a drown specially after the drama the country went over. Comments being very negative so I assume all people here traveled with the concept of 300 dollars enough to spend so 4th class travelers and the informed person who said Zero return tourist must be a government staff to know the info. Finally I think this channel owner is nice jerk trying to show himself victim & others comments just follow the stream. God bless you & please don’t come again.
